Hi, I’m Tania and I’ve been working in family law since 2009, with over 38 years of experience as a legal professional. I have worked across many areas of law during my career, from commercial litigation and criminal law to wills and estates, but family law is where I’ve found the most meaning. After many years working alongside both Taryn and Josephine, I knew that when they opened FLRC, I wanted to be part of it. This firm is different. The way we prioritise people creates space for genuine care and connection. It’s not just about reaching a legal resolution; it’s about walking alongside clients in a way that helps them feel heard, informed and empowered throughout. In my role, I support our team and our clients through what is often one of the most emotionally challenging periods in their lives. I do my best to offer empathy and clarity, to explain things in simple terms, and to ensure clients feel they can ask for help if they are feeling overwhelmed or uncertain.
What I’ve learned over the years is that people are resilient. Even in the hardest seasons, they can adapt, grow and move forward and it’s a privilege to witness that transformation. At FLRC, my focus is on being a calm and capable presence for the families we help. Whether I’m coordinating documents, assisting with disclosure, or checking in with a client, I do my best to bring care and attention to every step. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, especially my little grandson. I also enjoy discovering new parts of Queensland (North Queensland is a favourite!). I hope that when clients finish their journey with us, they feel supported, informed, and optimistic about what lies ahead.
