Megan – Family Lawyer

I’m a Family Lawyer with a deep appreciation for what people go through behind the scenes the stories, decisions and emotions that come with separation, parenting, and rebuilding. Family law isn’t just a career I landed in it’s a space I was drawn to because it’s real, it’s human, and it’s where I feel I can make a meaningful difference. I began my legal journey in Melbourne’s southeast, where I started working in law shortly after finishing school. I experimented in different areas of law, but it wasn’t until I found family law in 2012 that I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be. While working as a family law paralegal, I studied part-time, often after hours and on weekends, and eventually achieved my law degree through Charles Darwin University in 2020. I was admitted to the practice of law in 2021.

I come from a working-class family nurses, tradies, and people who show up, work hard, and care deeply. I’m proud to be the first in my family to go to university, and I carry that sense of drive and humility with me in everything I do. I’ve witnessed the impact that relationship breakdowns can have not just on couples, but on kids, extended families, and entire futures. That’s what fuels my commitment to my clients every day. In 2021, my family and I made the move to Brisbane to embrace more sunshine, fresh air, and outdoor time with our little family. When I’m not lawyering, you’ll probably find me by the water, exploring a coastal town, checking out a market, or reading a good book. What I love most about family law is helping people make sense of what can feel like chaos. I’m here to listen really listen and to help you map out a way forward that fits your values, your priorities, and your future. I won’t give you cookie-cutter advice. I’ll take the time to understand your story, and help you make decisions with confidence and clarity. My role is to walk beside you through the emotions, through the uncertainty and help you reach the other side feeling supported and heard. Because in the end, this isn’t just about legal outcomes. It’s about helping people rebuild, with dignity and direction.
